In science we are investigating states of matter.

In maths we have started learning about fractions. We worked in pairs, using cubes, to write the fractions of different colours.

We have been honing our football skills with a coach from Lincoln City football club.

Our up and coming topic is mountains, we will be learning all about different mountain ranges and their features as well as writing our own Antarctic adventure stories!

Lots of practical maths activities going on, we’ve used lollipop sticks to help us make Roman numerals.

This term we have been learning about Antarctica.

 

 

We have been using two fantastic books to help us to learn more about the great explorer Ernest Shackleton.

 

We’ve been thinking about and describing all things icy, including our fingers!

We thoroughly enjoyed making our own documentaries about Emperor Penguins. It gave us a great opportunity to show off all we had learnt about them and how important it is to protect their environment. 

 

 

Here is a list of the Year 3 and 4 statutory spelling words which the children will be taught over the year and tested on regularly.

If you can practise spelling these at home it will really help their writing.
