What a year it has been so far in Class One.

We have visited Woodhall Spa library and Abbey Farm, as part of our Harvest topic. We performed the play 'The Innkeepers Breakfast' at Christmas and sang in our carol concert at Church.

The children baked biscuits for the MacMillan Coffee Morning we held in school. They have also enjoyed making snowmen cupcakes and Autumn leaf shaped biscuits as part of their topic last term. They have also made Diva lamps as part of the Diwali topic.

The children have been working hard on their phonics and know more than 30 sounds now! Mrs Miller and Mrs Wheatley are really proud of the class. In maths they have been practising counting and many of the children can count up to 100! We will be working on this and shape and space this term.

Many of the children are involved in after school clubs like multi skills, Judo and last term there was a Christmas decoration club!

In Term 3 we will be looking at the topics of Winter and Wonderful Walcott. We will be going on a village walk later in the term and hoping for snow! We are also hoping to go on a trip to The Kinema in the Woods this term.

Thank you to the parents who have supported their children in the smooth transition to school.
