Welcome to Barn Owls Class
Last term we had a busy time! We learnt all about Antarctica and Mountains around the world. We looked at states of matter in Science and had fun completing experiments.
This term we are learning all about the Mayans and the journey of chocolate. We have already begun to look at the History of the Mayans and we are all very excited about our homework projects. We will be having a trip to York Chocolate Story in February to learn more about the history of chocolate and begin to look at modern day chocolate.
English- We will be learning to write information text about Mayans and poetry about the Sound Collector.
Maths- We will be learning about Fractions, having a big push on learning our times tables and practising our skills using the four methods.
R.E- We will be learning about Sikhs beliefs and lifestyle.
Science- We will be learning about Plants and their properties.
I am looking forward to this terms learning. If you have any questions or concern, please do not hesitate in coming to speak to me.
We recently had a wonderful time at York Chocolate Story. We tried lots of different chocolates and discovered chocolate without sugar is not our favourite kind! After making sure we had covered our hair, hands and clothes, we were allowed to make our own lickable wall paper and chocolate lollies.
